Our funding comes from federal and state agencies, community foundations and the generosty of friends and businesses in the neighborhood. We also rely on many volunteers to provide services for our clients.
We save hundreds of thousands of dollars by providing services that help people stay in their homes. But government funding is being reduced, so more than ever we need the support of people in the neighborhood to ensure that the St. Anthony Park Block Nurse Program will be able to continue to provide services for all of us and our families. Please remember us with memorials on special occasions and when one of your loved ones dies.
There are many opportunities for you to volunteer to help your neighbors.
- Form friendships by becoming a visitor.
- Provide respite care so a family caregiver can have a break.
- Drive people to health care appointments, other appointments, or grocery shopping.
- Run errands for grocery shopping, picking up prescriptions, and other necessities.
- Drive to deliver Meals-on-Wheels in Saint Anthony Park.
- Help with household projects and yard work.
- Help with computer problems.
- Help in the SAPBNP office with mailings, computer work, etc.
